How to Dry Skin Brush
Always dry brush your body before you shower or bathe (i.e. whilst you are still dry). You will want to wash off the impurities from the skin as a result of the brushing action.
Start with the soles of your feet with circular motions. Continue brushing up your legs with sweeping strokes upwards. Proceed to your hands and arms, then brush your buttocks, back, stomach, shoulders and neck. Take care by lightly brushing your chest.
Avoid sensitive areas and anywhere the skin is broken such as skin rash, wounds, cuts and infections.
Tips
Choose a natural (NOT synthetic) tampico bristle brush with a long handle so that you are able to reach all areas of your body. Synthetic brushes are too harsh and can potentially damage your skin.
Improving the relationship you have with your body
Do you judge, criticize and compare your body? If so, please stop abusing the vessel that is providing you with the ability to live an enjoyable active life. Be kind to your body.
Be grateful for the body that you have. Turn those negative thoughts and words 180 degrees and start to show your body some love.
As you work your way up from the soles of your feet, to the back of your neck, be grateful for every part of your body and practice “positive self talk” by thanking your body for all that it is and for all that it has the potential to be.
Integrating this quick and simple morning ritual in to your life can help to bring about a more happy, healthy and naturally beautiful you.
