What is the best way to use AEOS products?

Always apply AEOS products with damp skin.
Use gentle circular motions and light patting on the skin.
Ensure the correct sequence of AEOS products to allow each of them to be received by the skin and penetrate to deeper layers within the skin structure, according to its needs, and enabling the maximum effect.
AEOS products are designed to be used together as a complete skincare solution. To enable the benefit of what AEOS can do for you, we recommend that you use only AEOS products for at least 2 months. This will enable the natural factors of active organic and biodynamic ingredients and crystal essences a chance to bring out a different level of radiance within your skin.

Are AEOS products organic or biodynamic?

The source of the ingredients used in AEOS is of the utmost importance to us. At Shire Farm, our own biodynamic (Demeter certified) farm, we grow as much as we can to be used in our products, sourcing other ingredients from organic and biodynamic farms across the world. Plants grown using these methods have more vitality and a profoundly positive effect on the raw materials produced from them. Embracing this holistic approach from our farming, sourcing of materials, through to creating these skincare preparations, enhances our philosophy – look after the soil, feed the skin, nourish the soul.

What does biodynamic mean?

Biodynamic farming is a holistic and regenerative farming and gardening system which began to be revived in 1924 by Rudolf Steiner.

A remarkable visionary and educator in a number of fields including agriculture, Steiner had been asked to address the concerns of a group of farmers about the increasingly degraded soil conditions and deterioration in the health and quality of crops and livestock resulting from the use of chemical fertilizers.

Much about biodynamic farming reflects the principles of organic farming but the biodynamic farmer goes further to create a completely self-sustaining, holistic environment in which the farm is treated as a living (biological) organism capable of producing everything it needs within the dynamics of its own unique elements. These include soil structure, animal and insect populations, tree and plant life, elevation, rainfall, sun exposure, water sources and celestial influences.

Soil fertility
At the heart of a biodynamic farm’s success are the essential farm-derived soil preparations and fertilizers which are full of microbial composts that stimulate the soil’s ecosystem and enhance the plants’ abilities to absorb nutrients, fend off pests and prevent the spread of disease. Thus the emphasis is on integrating the needs as well as the contributions of livestock, insects, plants and crops for the generation and recycling of nutrients, improving soil fertility and nurturing the health of all including ultimately the farmer and the consumer.

Celestial influences
Biodynamic farming also recognises the interplay between earthly and cosmic forces such as the rhythms and cycles of the seasons and the impact of the sun, moon and planets upon the land. These form the basis of an annually produced planting calendar which guides the farmer towards appropriate times for cultivation and sowing for maximum quantity and quality.

In the biodynamic ecosystem, man is a conscious and responsible steward, recognising and nurturing the beneficial aspects and interdependence of all these diverse elements for the optimum benefit of the whole.

What are spagyric tinctures?

Spagyric tinctures are liquid gems and crystals specially prepared according to an ancient alchemic process. They are uniquely potent and energising ingredients. Prepared in strict accordance with ancient alchemical principles for AURA-SOMA Products Limited, we believe the spagyric tinctures of crystal energies add a significant contribution to the AEOS range.

Spagyric refers to the process of separation, purification and re-combining of materials – fundamental alchemical techniques used for the preparation of substances. By separation and parting of the original substance into its diverse components, the useful is first separated from the useless. Using a specific method of new composition, the different components are combined together again. The spagyric tincture manufactured in this manner contains the beneficial substances in refined form and is thus more therapeutically effective than the original substance. Spagyric tinctures are not effective because of their ingredients; rather, they are effective because of the metaphysical powers released by the manufacturing process. Spagyric is alchemy in practice and adheres to alchemical laws.

By bringing together the alchemical techniques of the ancients along with cutting edge skincare formulas, the AEOS products provide a medium through which these tinctures may have a direct effect on the human energy field. It is a truly unique approach to skincare and general well-being. Spagyric tinctures have been contained within the AURA-SOMA Equilibrium, Pomanders and Quintessences since September 2002. Are AEOS products or any of the ingredients tested on animals?

AEOS products are NEVER tested on animals.

Is AEOS an environmentally conscious brand?

Wherever possible Aura-Soma® Products Ltd (manufacturers of the AEOS range) use recycled paper and cardboard etc. as well as recycling those necessities of a busy company. It is one of the company policies that we strive to be at the cutting edge of these technologies.

Over 10 years ago the Chairman, Mike Booth, created a plantation of trees on land at the Aura-Soma® headquarters to offset the carbon footprint for himself, the staff and company in relation to all travel and other requirements for the business – an unusual step at that time.

In Japan, where Aura-Soma® Products Ltd is most loved, the company have set up a glass project whereby the Aura-Soma® Equilibrium bottles are recycled and created into crafted goods and other items.

Various tours, and actively working with nurturing the earth’s own ecosystem, support the planet towards a healthier future.

Why do I need to use a Hydrating Mist? Isn’t applying a Moisturiser enough?

It is always important to use a water based product (eg. Refreshing Hydrating Mist) prior to moisturizer. By applying moisturizer on to dry skin, the skin is likely to feel clogged and with a feeling of the moisturizer being too thick.

How do I know which coloured products to choose within the AEOS range?

Vicky Wall, the founder and Innovator of the Aura-Soma® Colour Care system used to say – ‘The greater guide is within’. This, along with the key phrase in Aura-Soma – ‘You are the colours you choose and these reflect your Being’s needs’ gives us the confidence to choose which products are the most suitable for us as unique individuals. Whatever colour combination of products you choose are those that are called for to help balance the condition of your skin at a deep level, rather than looking at your skin condition on a superficial level. Should I use the same AEOS skin care sequence all year round?

Changes are occurring in our bodies all the time, including the skin. In fact, the skin is an obvious way to notice that we are constantly renewing cells as can be seen in the understanding of why we exfoliate the skin of dead skin cells using our gentle exfoliant, rather than a harsh chemical process. For people living in countries where there are seasonal changes in the weather, they may notice the different requirements of their skin according to those seasons. It is beneficial to become aware and notice the changes during these times and adjust the usage of your AEOS products accordingly, so that the skin does not become dehydrated or over moisturized and thus congested. This may mean using fewer products and less of each one, depending on your personal needs.

What is Aura-Soma?
